The UCMS Campus is situated at Bhairahawa, very close to the Indian City of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, which is only an hours’ drive (96 kms. From campus). It is located very close to the Indian Border which is just 2 km from Sounauli the last destination of the Indian Border. Sounauli is accessible from Gorakhpur by road, which takes 1 ½ hours journey by car. By air, the Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu is well connected with all major cities, worldwide. From New Delhi, six flights are being operated daily to Kathmandu. Kathmandu International Airport is also connected with the Indian cities of Mumbai, Calcutta, Varanasi, Bangalore and Patna. Domestic air carries – Yeti Air, Buddha Air, Sita Air, Cosmic Air, Sangrila Air operate from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa daily.

An international Airport has been sanctioned by His Majesty’s Government of Nepal at Lumbini, aided by the Japanese. Lumbini is also connected by road from Kathmandu, which passes through the most picturesque snow-covered mountain ranges, the banks of the splashing Narayani River and also the lustrous grandeur of the world famous Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary. Gorakhpur, the closet Indian city is one of the hubs of Indian Railways and is connected to all major Indian cities. 

The Universal College of Medical Sciences conducts the MBBS & BDS courses at Lumbini, the Lord’s own Land, where Gautam Buddha was born. The lush green, 120 acres UCMS campus has been equipped with all modern amenities required for certification and clearance from the Tribhuvan University, Nepal Medical Council & Ministry of Education & Sports, Government of Nepal.

Facilities for running the Medical College like, well equipped Laboratories, modern Library, separate Hostels for boys and girls under the strict guidance of Wardens and 24 hours Security, availability of UCMS Teaching Hospital to the Students for Clinical teaching etc. have been effectively implemented by the Management, well in advance. The administrative Office of the College at Kathmandu supervises all travel requirements and other facilities for the students and also their visitors. Lumbini, with its international reputation as a pilgrim center, has excellent hotel facilities that will ensure a comfortable stay for the visitors. Indian, Chinese, Nepalese, Continental and a variety of other cuisines are served. Lumbini is geographically located in the Therai region that comprises of plain lands and the climate is comparable to that of the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. During summer, the temperature could reach upto  40 C and in winter it falls to a minimum of 10 C.

 
The management has made adequate arrangements in the College and Hostels to reckon with the climate conditions, including provision of air-cooled and heated hostel rooms.
